Hello and Welcome!

I am a composer, improviser, vocalist, and educator interested in intercultural collaborations. In my works, I borrow from Iranian music, Jazz, Western contemporary music, and computer music. I received my PhD in Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology (ICIT) from UC Irvine.

 

I enjoy performing with Sibarg Ensemble and collaborating both on and off stage with influential people while continuously learning from my mentors, colleagues, and students.

 

As of September 2023, I am a full-time tenure-track professor of music at Butte College.
